Art To Wear

Scouts will complete two of the four activities to satisfy the Art to Wear Try it.

Paint a ceramic pendant and decorate a t-shirt utilizing fabric paints!  Learn about fingerprint painting and toothbrush speckling!   $16 per participant

Colors & Shapes

Scouts will satisfy two of the four requirements for this try-it:

Girls will try their hands at the trendy hobby of glass fusion, and create a kiln-fired glass suncatcher or dish, utilizing a variety of (safe!) colored glass to create patterned masterpieces.

Girls will receive a lesson on color theory & the color wheel

Ceramics & Clay

Scouts will complete 4 requirements of this badge:

Learn about different types of clay & glazes

Create a painted piece of pottery utilizing various glazes and decorating tools.  Each scout chooses their own pottery and will choose from boxes, banks, dishes, bowls and animal figurines.

Tour our behind-the-scenes kiln-operations

Pass on the Knowledge:  Each girl will receive a discount certificate to return to Art Attack with a younger sibling, friend or scout to teach them about the various decorating processes they learned about.  The certificate will allow both girls to paint a piece of pottery for 25% off the total purchase.

Girls will complete two required tasks toward this badge:

This activity includes decorating a t-shirt with fabric paints and speckling and personalizing a ceramic pendant necklace.

Please allow 1 to 1 ½ hours to complete the activities.  Please note projects are contingent upon supply availability.  At times Art Attack may need to make substitutions.

Did you know?  Your troop can CREATE A GROUP PROJECT to donate to a local family or organization.  Paint a platter together and deliver it with food to the Food Pantry, or decorate a set of dishes & mugs, or a holiday decoration! 

Or, JUST COME FOR FUN!  Troops are invited to paint pottery or create glass fused projects… prices range from $10-16 per child.
