2010 Scout Programs

Art Attack offers many programs that contribute to earning scout badge and try it requirements. We facilitate projects that help contribute to the total satisfaction of try it and badge requirements, however the interpretation of requirements is ultimately the responsibility of the troop leaders. Have your meeting at our kid-friendly studio and let the fun begin! You are welcome to bring snacks to your meeting at Art Attack. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BRING YOUR TROOP TO ART ATTACK FOR PROJECTS OTHER THAN OUR PREDETERMINED PROGRAMS LISTED BELOW, YOU ARE WELCOME! SIMPLY CHOOSE YOUR PROJECTS RIGHT OFF THE SHELF!
Wave the Flag - PAINT POTTERY!! ($12 pp)
Scouts will have a blast playing “Who Wants to Be a Patriotic Millionaire” while learning fun facts about our flag! Scouts will use sponges & stickers to paint a patriotic tray. $12
Art To Wear - MEMORY WIRE BEADS ($10 pp)
Memory wire beading is the latest craze, and girls will create a necklace or double wraparound bracelet with a variety of glass, seed & ebeads and personalize it with their very own chosen charm! A lesson on color theory and patterns will complete the outing.
Colors & Shapes - GLASS FUSING ($12pp)
Don’t miss the trendy hobby of glass fusing! Scouts will try their hand at glass fusing and create a kiln-fired glass suncatcher. A lesson on color theory and the color wheel are included. (upgrade to dishes or frames also available)
Science in Action - GLASS FUSING ($12/14 pp)
Glass fusing is the talk of the town and scouts will proudly learn about the science of melting glass and kiln-firing their own glass masterpieces! ($12/14)
Ceramics & Clay - POTTERY PAINTING ($12 pp)
Learn about various forms of clay & glaze and paint a functional piece of pottery (dish, bowl or mug) utilizing creative art tools & techniques. Finish the event with a tour or our kiln operations!
Art to Wear - GLASS FUSED JEWELRY($12pp)
Every girl loves jewelry! Glass fusing is all the rage and your troop will love creating and wearing their beautiful creations!
Please allow approx. 1 hour to complete the activities.
Did you know? Your troop can CREATE A GROUP PROJECT to donate to a local family or organization. Paint a platter together and deliver it with food to the Food Pantry, or decorate a set of dishes & mugs, or a holiday decoration!
NOT WORKING TOWARD A TRY IT OR BADGE? JUST COME FOR FUN! Troops are invited to paint pottery or create glass fused projects… prices range from $12-16 per child.
